Lead a Team of Dedicated Professionals

In this role as Assistant Nursing Director for the Neuro & Stroke Intermediate Care Unit at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital, you will have the opportunity to lead a team of dedicated professionals in providing exceptional patient care. As a key member of our leadership team, you will collaborate with the Director of Nursing to improve quality, safety, and patient outcomes within a specialized environment.

About the Role
  • Direct and coordinate the nursing and patient care delivery of the unit-based professional and support personnel
  • Ensure the provision of holistic, culturally competent, and person-centered, quality, safe, and cost-effective evidence-based nursing care for patients/families
  • Collaborate with the Director of Nursing to develop unit/department goals, objectives, policies, and procedures, and ensure compliance with hospital/entity policies and procedures
About You
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing from a nationally accredited program required
  • Master's degree in Nursing or a health-related field from a nationally accredited program preferred
  • 3-4 years progressive nursing care experience required; Leadership and management experience preferred
