Unity Health is seeking a Medical Operations Coordinator to join our team. This role plays a crucial part in the success of our clinic operations and patient care.

About the Role

The Medical Operations Coordinator coordinates with the Clinic Manager to ensure the smooth operation of the clinic and delivery of high-quality patient care. In the absence of the Clinic Manager, this individual will assume responsibilities to ensure continuity.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the supervisor with hiring, developing job descriptions, conducting employee evaluations, disciplinary actions, and terminations in accordance with policies and procedures.
  • Lead and involve employees in staff meetings to foster open communication and collaboration.
  • Evaluate work activities for effectiveness and modify duties as necessary to maintain efficient clinic operations.
  • Prepare professional development plans that demonstrate personal and professional growth in leadership skills, technical skills, communication skills, and clinic-specific project plans.
  • Ensure timely processing and accurate coding of all accounts payable.
  • Monitor payment plans, internal collection processes, and external collections, aiming for timely resolution of unapplied credits.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • A High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience in team building, analytical problem-solving, and goal setting.
  • Familiarity with clinic information systems, preferably including Electronic Health Record software.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
