About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Technician to join our team at Sandstone Care. As a key member of our residential treatment program, you will play a vital role in supporting the well-being and recovery of our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage daily floor activities and transport clients to and from scheduled events.
  • Monitor clients closely and collaborate with nurses and other staff to ensure their safety and well-being.
  • Assist with mealtime setup, light laundry, room cleaning, and grounds maintenance as needed.
  • Conduct admission and discharge processes for new and existing clients, including paperwork, drug and alcohol tests, skin checks, and inventory searches.
  • Perform regular safety checks on clients every 15 or 30 minutes, depending on their risk level.
Requirements
  • Candidates must have 2 years of college education or a high school diploma with 1 year of experience in the human services field.
  • Candidates must be First Aid/CPR certified prior to their first day of employment.
  • Previous experience with the treatment of substance abuse and/or co-occurring disorders is strongly preferred.
  • Training in verbal de-escalation and/or mental health is also strongly preferred.
  • A valid driver's license with no restrictions is required.
