Job Description

The YMCA is seeking a skilled Pilates Reformer and Mat Instructor to lead small group workouts, personal training sessions, and create engaging fitness programs.

Responsibilities:
  • Deliver high-quality, specialized Pilates Reformer instruction in small group settings and private training sessions.
  • Train members on proper equipment use and workout techniques.
  • Design and develop fitness programs and workshops as needed.
  • Provide excellent member service by greeting and engaging with participants.
  • Maintain a clean and safe facility environment.
Requirements:
  • Pilates Reformer certification or completion of Level 1 & 2 certificate program.
  • Pilates Mat certification.
  • Experience teaching group fitness classes.
  • Ability to design programs using various equipment and props.
  • Knowledge of anatomy and fitness principles.
  • Excellent facilitation and customer service skills.
  • CPR/AED and First Aid Certification.
Working Conditions:
  • Physically perform all duties required of a Group Specialty Instructor.
  • Sufficient strength, agility, and mobility to supervise activities and respond to emergencies.
  • Occasional lifting up to 30 lbs.
  • Frequent bending and standing.
  • Clear visual ability to monitor activities.
  • Effective communication and queuing skills.
Compensation:
  • Part-time, $27.00+/hr (dependent on experience).
