Member Service Representative

We're seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Member Service Representative to join our team at OnPoint Community CU. As a financial services expert, you will be responsible for providing exceptional member service, performing various financial transactions, and educating members on our products and services.

Job Description
- Member Service: Provide exceptional member service, including eye contact, welcome greetings, thanking members by name, and ensuring their needs are fulfilled.
- Financial Transactions: Perform and document over-the-counter transactions, determine acceptability of negotiable items, and maintain cash drawers within established guidelines.
- Cross-Sale Opportunities: Identify and address member questions and concerns, offering solutions and referring to appropriate staff members or opening products/services as needed.
- Lobby Management: Assist with lobby management, ensuring members are helped in a timely manner and feel welcome.
- Financial Services Education: Educate members on new financial services and tools, keeping informed on up-to-date offerings.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Ability to coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize work.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in cash handling, arithmetic, and basic computer skills.
- High school graduate or GED required. Minimum of 6 months of teller experience in a financial institution, retail sales, or customer service position with cash handling experience.
- Bilingual skills highly desired.
Benefits
- Starting pay: $22.00 per hour with no previous banking experience.
- Floater Tellers receive a 10% differential.
