Job Responsibilities
- Direct and coordinate activities in the Anesthesia Department
- Responsible for the medical management of patients undergoing unconsciousness or insensibility to pain and emotional stress during surgery and other medical procedures
- Pre-anesthesia assessment and preparation
- Obtain and verify patient consent
- Discuss anesthetic options and risks with patients
- Induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia
- Monitoring of patients' physiological condition
- Perform clinical interventions as needed
Requirements and Qualifications
- Hold an M.D./D.O. degree from an accredited College of Medicine
- Be proficient in TEE
- Complete a Cardiac Fellowship program
- Possess ECFMG and FLEX certification
- Complete an approved residency in anesthesia
- Currently licensed as a physician
