Job Title: Biomedical Equipment Specialist

At Children's Health, we are seeking a highly skilled Biomedical Equipment Specialist to join our team. This role is responsible for maintaining clinical equipment through the effective use of the Medical Equipment Management Plan.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Repair and maintain complex hospital medical equipment and systems in accordance with manufacturer requirements, regulatory agencies, and Children's Medical Center of Dallas guidelines.
  • Assist with training of biomedical technicians and provide guidance to technicians.
  • React to emergencies and urgent needs for service, and participate in the on-call process.
  • Assemble, inspect, and install new equipment.
  • Inspect incoming non-hospital owned equipment.
Requirements:
  • At least 5 years of experience in hospital or biomedical equipment service.
  • Two-year Associate's degree in Biomedical Equipment Technology, electronics, military, or equivalent training and experience.
  • Must obtain Certified Biomedical Equipment Technician (CBET) certification within one year of hire.
