As a CHS driver, you'll spend your days making life easier for farmers, ranchers, local feed & seed stores, community gas stations, and refineries by transporting products from sellers to buyers and creating long-lasting bonds with our customers and co-ops.

As an Operations Specialist within CHS Grain and Agronomy, you'll be responsible for loading and unloading grain, agronomy, and feed products, performing scheduled maintenance and repairs, acquiring knowledge on how to monitor and maintain grain quality, and obtaining certifications to operate equipment, including the opportunity to obtain your CDL.

The estimated salary for this role is $55,000 - $75,000 per year, based on national averages and considering the location and industry. This role requires a minimum of 2+ years of experience in Operations and/or Trucking Operations, a high school diploma or GED, and the ability to read, write, and communicate in English. You must also meet the minimum age requirement and be able to obtain a CDL and DOT medical card. Additional qualifications include Hazmat, Tanker, and Air Brake endorsements, valid Class A CDL, agriculture background, customer service experience, bulk liquid, pressure trailer, or forklift experience.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Loading and unloading agricultural inputs from railcars and/or trucks using heavy or light-duty machinery/equipment.
  • Conducting and properly recording repairs and daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance tasks.
  • Maintaining quality of inventory, monitoring, and reporting any issues.
  • Delivering products to customer sites ensuring accurate and on-time deliveries.
  • Ensuring compliance with all local, state, and federal laws, including pre-trip and post-trip reporting, proper load securement, and hours of service.
