Operations Manager

Campbell Soup Company is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Operations Manager to join our team. As an Operations Manager, you will be responsible for leading and directing all production operations for our designated business unit, working effectively through supervisors/team leaders to accomplish plant KPIs.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and direct all production operations for our designated business unit
Execute strategic planning for our organization, ensuring current and future investments drive performance improvements in the immediate and extended future
Ensure effective employee relations, provide employee coaching and development, make employment decisions, and resolve employee issues through problem resolution
Implement effective training programs to develop leadership and technical skills within both the salaried and hourly workforce
Work closely with Safety lead and corporate Safety resources to maintain a safe work environment for employees
Ensure all quality standards are maintained and executed within operation
Lead the facility team on a path to achieving standard or better productivity as defined by throughput, material usage, and direct and indirect labor usage
Ensure capital projects make the best use of company funds, and targets product quality and productivity improvements
Manage the condition and eventual retirement of all capital assets
Primarily responsible for ensuring that appropriate engagement and teambuilding with employees is maintained
Responsible for maintaining a cohesive employee working environment
Champion for developing and maintaining a strong "Continuous Improvement" culture within Hanover by continually working to develop a mindset within the leadership and the facility to seek continuous improvement opportunities
Requirements
High school diploma or GED
8+ years of progressively more responsible manufacturing/management experience
Preferred Qualification: B.A. degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or technical field
8+ years of progressively more responsible manufacturing/management experience in a food or CPG industry
Prior high performance work systems experience highly desirable
Cross-functional operations experience with a proven track record of delivering successful business results in the areas of schedule attainment, safety, quality, and cost
Previous experience managing/supervising large groups of employees (i.e., >50) in a non-union manufacturing environment
Comprehensive knowledge of OSHA standards, HACCP guidelines, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), etc.
Ongoing passion to identify continuous improvement opportunities and lead initiatives to deliver bottom-line results
Must be a change agent
Outstanding analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
Previous experience working in a Lean manufacturing environment employing Six Sigma concepts preferred
Six Sigma Green Belt and/or Black Belt certification preferred
Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)
Must possess strong training/facilitation skills
Computer proficiency in Windows-based software applications (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team environment
Possess a "hands on"/lead by example type personality
Drive for results
Working Conditions
The working environment includes both office and plant floor settings. Exposure to industrial noise, forklift traffic, moving mechanical parts, and temperature extremes occurs in operating areas of the plant.
Compensation and Benefits
The target base salary range for this full-time, salaried position is between $101,000-$145,100. Individual base pay depends on work location and additional factors such as experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training. Total pay may include other forms of compensation. In addition, we offer competitive health, dental, 401k, and wellness benefits beginning on the first day of employment.
