**Job Summary:**

At Kansas Spine & Specialty Hospital, we are seeking a highly skilled Strategic Human Resources Leader to oversee our HR functions and foster a culture of excellence and compliance within our organization.

The successful candidate will be responsible for strategic partnership with leadership to manage talent acquisition, employee relations, compensation, and regulatory compliance. Additionally, this role involves leading the local HR team, ensuring effective onboarding, retention strategies, and alignment with the company's mission and values.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partners with leadership to ensure the organization's culture aligns with its mission, vision, and values.
  • Leads all HR-related activities to support organizational leaders and collaborates with various teams to develop and implement effective human resource strategies.
  • Oversees talent acquisition, including building recruitment strategies, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding processes.
  • Ensures compliance with federal and local regulations, including FMLA, OSHA, ADA, Joint Commission, CMS, and other relevant laws and regulations.
  • Develops and implements benefits programs, policies, and procedures that meet employee needs and comply with legal requirements.
  • Manages the learning management system program and website, training employees on its use and troubleshooting any issues.
  • Coordinates and administers the annual performance evaluation process and partners with leadership to identify emerging leaders and facilitate leadership development programs.
  • Manages the compensation function, planning, developing, and implementing new and revised compensation programs, policies, and procedures.
  • Collaborates with the finance team to ensure payroll functions are in compliance with government regulations.
  • Facilitates and manages all employee relations on behalf of the company, maintaining confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA policy.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.
  • 5 years of experience leading HR, with a strong focus on partnerships, employee engagement, employee relations, talent acquisition, and service delivery.
  • Professional in Human Resources (PHR) Certification or SHRM Certified Professional (CP/SCP) preferred.
  • 5 years of previous leadership experience, preferably in a healthcare environment.
  • Previous healthcare background preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively plan, prioritize, and organize.
  • Knowledge of employee investigation protocol, measuring and tracking KPIs for Human Resources, and state, federal, and accrediting body regulations and standards related to healthcare.
  • Strong communication skills – written and verbal, interpersonal skills, and ability to understand and apply guidelines, policies, and procedures.

**Compensation:**

$70,000 - $90,000 per year, depending on experience.
