Job Summary

Healthcare Staffing Plus is seeking a skilled Interventional Radiology Technologist to join our team. As a key member of our Cardiac Cath Labs department, you will be responsible for preparing examination rooms, administering radiopharmaceuticals, and positioning patients and equipment for diagnostic imaging procedures.

Responsibilities

Preparing examination rooms for patient examinations
Administering radiopharmaceuticals to obtain clear, usable images
Positioning patients and equipment, explaining procedures, and ensuring patient comfort
Inserting commands and data into the computer to document and specify scan sequences, and monitoring video displays to adjust density or contrast
Monitoring patients during examinations, ensuring safety, and following procedures to prevent unnecessary exposure to radiation
Producing diagnostic images, reporting important information to physicians, and updating patient records
Organizing daily procedure schedules for emergencies and monitoring radiographic supplies
Performing administrative tasks, such as answering technical questions, scheduling appointments, and offering pre-procedure advice
Performing scheduled maintenance and emergency repairs on radiographic equipment

Requirements

BLS and ACLS certification
National Institutes of Health (NIH) certification
Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology
Ability to stand for extended periods
Strong technical skills
Knowledge of medical terminology
Passionate about patient care
Minimum of two years of current Cardiac Cath Lab Interventional Radiology Technologist experience
Graduate from a fully accredited Radiology Tech program
Active unencumbered Indiana Radiology Tech state license
One year of Cerner experience
ARRT Certification
COVID vaccine with 2 Shots & Booster
