Job Summary

The Cedar Rapids Metro YMCA is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Female Custodian to maintain the cleanliness and organization of the women's and girls' locker rooms, restrooms, and other areas of the facility.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the women's and girls' locker rooms, restrooms, and other areas of the facility
• Operate and maintain various cleaning equipment and supplies
• Assure safety while working with cleaning equipment and supplies
• Operate commercial laundry equipment
• Follow directions and receive constructive criticism
• Learn new information and methods to improve job skills and performance
• Maintain a harmonious and positive working relationship with fellow employees, members, program participants, and guests
• Interact with people of all ages and backgrounds, upholding the YMCA's core values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility
• Be dependable and possess a strong work ethic
• Meet the minimum age requirement of 18 years

Requirements

• Working knowledge of vacuums, cleaning supplies, and equipment
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to lift and move heavy cleaning equipment and supplies
