Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Fundraising and Development Professional to join our team. This role will play a critical part in advancing our mission by securing funding through grants, individual donations, corporate sponsorships, and fundraising events.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Fundraising and Development:
    • Assist in creating and executing the annual fundraising plan to drive revenue growth.
    • Cultivate relationships with potential donors, including individuals, corporations, and foundations, to secure funding for our initiatives.
    • Coordinate grant writing efforts, researching opportunities, preparing proposals, and managing reporting requirements.
    • Develop and manage a donor recognition program to foster ongoing engagement and appreciation.
  • Communications:
    • Develop comprehensive communication strategies to promote our mission and support fundraising efforts.
    • Create engaging content for newsletters, social media, our website, press releases, and other channels to resonate with donors and supporters.
    • Manage marketing materials, including brochures, annual reports, and collateral, to effectively convey our impact.
    • Collaborate with program staff to gather stories and data highlighting our work's effectiveness.
    • Lead media relations, drafting press releases, building media lists, and coordinating coverage for events and announcements.
  • Event Planning and Coordination:
    • Assist with planning and executing fundraisers to maximize attendance and donor engagement.
    • Manage event logistics, including venue selection, vendor coordination, guest lists, and volunteer management.
    • Develop event marketing materials and coordinate promotional efforts to drive attendance and revenue growth.
    • Analyze event performance and provide recommendations for improvement and expansion.
  • Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as English, Communications, Nonprofit Management, or Public Administration.
    • Minimum two years of experience in grant writing and funding, preferably in the nonprofit sector.
    • Proven track record of securing funding from diverse sources.
    • Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
    • Strong research and analytical skills.
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
    • Knowledge of fundraising principles and best practices.
    Compensation and Benefits:

We offer a competitive salary range of $60,000 - $80,000 per year, commensurate with experience, along with a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off. Opportunities for professional development and advancement are also available.
