About the Opportunity

We are seeking a Medical Director to lead our primary care team in coastal Maine. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-respected medical group and contribute to the delivery of high-quality patient care.

Role Summary

The Medical Director will be responsible for providing clinical leadership and oversight to our primary care physicians and staff. You will work closely with the practice management team to develop and implement strategies to improve patient outcomes, quality of care, and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team of primary care physicians and staff to deliver high-quality patient care
  • Develop and implement clinical policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices
  • Collaborate with the practice management team to develop and implement business plans to improve patient volume, revenue growth, and market share
  • Participate in peer review and quality improvement initiatives to maintain high standards of patient care
  • Mentor and support junior physicians and staff to enhance their clinical skills and professional development

Requirements

To be successful as a Medical Director, you will need:

  • A strong background in family medicine or a related specialty
  • Experience in clinical leadership and management, preferably in a primary care setting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with physicians, staff, and stakeholders
  • Ability to think strategically and make data-driven decisions to drive business growth and improve patient outcomes
  • Board certification in Family Medicine or a related specialty
