About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer to join our Worldwide Capacity Planning team at Amazon. As a key member of our Forecasting team, you will design, implement, and support critical datasets that provide actionable business insights to stakeholders.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop large-scale data pipelines to extract insights from complex data sources
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive technical strategy and ensure seamless integration with existing systems
  • Mentor junior engineers on best practices and share knowledge to drive innovation and growth
  • Develop and maintain high-performance queries to optimize business-critical operations

Requirements:

  • 7+ years of experience in data engineering with expertise in SQL and modern scripting languages (e.g., Python, Java, Scala)
  • Proven track record of designing and implementing scalable data solutions in big data technologies (Hadoop, Hive, Spark)
  • Strong understanding of efficient data mining and statistical modeling techniques
  • Excellent communication and mentoring skills to drive collaboration and innovation across teams
