Warehouse Night Shift Team Member
About the Role:We are seeking a dedicated Warehouse Team Member to join our US Foods community of food people. As a key member of our warehouse team, you will play a crucial role in safely and accurately selecting customer orders, building and wrapping pallets, and performing pre-shift equipment checks.
You will work in a multi-temperature environment, lifting and moving heavy products, and work 8+ hour night shifts, typically Sunday - Thursday. Excellent communication skills are required, as you must be able to read and communicate effectively in English.
The ideal candidate will have a strong safety culture and be able to work collaboratively with our team members to ensure seamless operations. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401K, life insurance, and more. Our competitive compensation package offers hourly rates between $22.00 and $28.00, with overtime compensation available.
Responsibilities:- Select customer orders accurately and efficiently
- Build and wrap pallets to meet weekly productivity and accuracy standards
- Perform pre-shift equipment checks and operate an electric pallet jack safely
- Validate correct product selection and inspect for damage
- Deliver products to designated dock areas and shrink wrap palletized orders
This role requires the ability to work comfortably in a multi-temperature environment, ranging from -5 degrees to over 100 degrees Fahrenheit. You must also be able to lift/carry/push/pull 20 to 80+ pounds of product repetitively, moving 1,000+ cases of product during each shift.
Preferred Qualifications:- Recent experience (within past 6 months) in high endurance or highly physical activity
- Experience selecting large-scale orders in a warehouse or distribution center environment
- Proficiency in operating motorized pallet jacks or similar equipment
