Interventional Radiology Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Radiologic Technologist to join our Interventional Radiology team at UNC Health. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality imaging support during interventional procedures, ensuring patient safety and comfort, and collaborating with physicians and other healthcare professionals to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Operate and maintain complex imaging equipment, including fluoroscopic, ultrasound, and computed tomography systems.
- Prepare patients for procedures, including positioning, draping, and sterile technique.
- Assist physicians during procedures, providing necessary supplies and equipment.
- Monitor and maintain patient safety and comfort during procedures.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
- Associate's degree or completion of an accredited Radiologic Sciences Program.
- Registered by the American Registry of Radiological Sciences or registry eligible and become registered within one (1) year from date of hire.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification -or- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
This is a full-time position working 40 hours per week. The work schedule is variable, and the location of the job is UNC Medical Center in Chapel Hill, NC.
