Job Summary

Aramark is seeking a skilled Baker to join our Food Services Team at the University of Washington - Bothell. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for preparing a variety of baked goods according to production guidelines and standardized recipes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Baking and Preparation: Bake and prepare a variety of food items, including bread, pastries, and desserts, according to production guidelines and standardized recipes.
  • Workstation Setup: Set up workstation with all needed ingredients and equipment, ensuring a safe and efficient work environment.
  • Ingredient Preparation: Prepare ingredients by measuring, weighing, mixing, chopping, and other tasks as required.
  • Equipment Operation: Operate equipment such as ovens, stoves, mixers, and other kitchen appliances.
  • Food Safety and Sanitation: Safely use a variety of utensils, including knives, and properly store food to adhere to food safety policies and procedures.
  • Cleaning and Sanitizing: Clean and sanitize work areas, equipment, and utensils to maintain a clean and safe environment.
  • Customer Service: Maintain excellent customer service and positive demeanor towards guests, customers, clients, and co-workers.
  • Security and Compliance: Ensure security of company assets and adhere to Aramark safety policies and procedures, including proper food safety and sanitation.
Requirements
  • Experience: Previous experience as a baker or in a related role is preferred.
  • Knowledge: Proven knowledge of baking methods, standards, and food safety regulations, including proper food handling, sanitation, and storage.
  • Certification: Required to obtain food safety certification(s).
  • Skills: Demonstrates basic math and counting skills, as well as interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
