Job Title: Orthopedic Nurse Specialist

Swedish Medical Center is seeking a skilled Orthopedic Nurse Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our medical team, you will provide high-quality patient care and support in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate nurse to work in our orthopedic department. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in surgical care and be able to work effectively in a team environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct patient care to orthopedic patients, including assessment, planning, and implementation of care.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans.
  • Float to other acute care units as needed, including Med/Surg and other acute care units.
  • Work in a supportive environment with private rooms, computer access, and overhead lifts.
  • Participate in orientation and training programs to ensure a smooth transition to the role.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a surgical unit, with orthopedic experience preferred.
  • Active compact license or pending WA license (with applied date and estimated issue date).
  • COVID-19 Vaccine required (with Medical/Religious Exemptions and Declinations Allowed).
  • Minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year (6 months for CNAs) of employment within the last three years in a comparable specialty/setting.

Please note that this is a travel contract opportunity, and previous perm candidates from any Providence facility (non-Swedish) are eligible if separated for at least 3 months.
