Description
In this role, you will be responsible for performing visual and layout inspections, as well as testing and inspection of products at various stages of the production process. You will ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and other specified requirements. Your primary focus will be on safety and environmental issues, and you will prioritize these concerns at all times. Additionally, you will compile and evaluate statistical data to determine and maintain quality and reliability of products. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Understanding and supporting corporate safety initiatives to ensure a safe work environment.
- Following housekeeping and 5-S initiatives in the quality department.
- Analyzing, evaluating, and presenting information concerning manufacturing quality problems.
- Having a practical knowledge of assembly and fabrication production processes.
- Demonstrating skills using various hand gages, including steel tapes, steel rulers, calipers, micrometers, etc.
- Understanding English and Metric measurement schemes.
- Establishing techniques and interpreting codes, standards, and specifications.
- Being knowledgeable with applicable industry standards specifications and procedures.
- Interpreting engineering drawings, schematic diagrams, and conferring with management regarding part conformance.
- Selecting products for evaluation at specific stages in the production process for various qualities, including dimensions, performance, and mechanical characteristics.
- Recording test data.
- Evaluating data and writing inspection reports to validate or indicate deviations from existing standards.

Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you must have:
- ASNT Level II certification in VT and MT, or
- 210 hours of OJT signed off and documented in VT and
- 280 hours of OJT signed off and documented in MT and
- 24 hours of classroom in VT signed off by a Level III and
- 20 hours of classroom in MT signed off by a Level III and
Compensation
This role offers a competitive compensation package, including a starting rate of $37.50 per hour, as well as a bonus of $2,500.00 upon hire if you have both valid ASNT Level II certifications in VT and MT, or upon completion of the alternative qualification requirements. Additionally, you will be eligible for a bonus of $2,500.00 after passing a successful satisfactory 90-day review with no disciplinary write-ups and with good attendance measured by company guidelines.
