Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Property Manager to join our team at Sherman Associates. As a key member of our property management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our residential properties, ensuring that they meet the highest standards of quality and service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Direct and coordinate the activities of resident and tenant relations, safety/security, maintenance, marketing, landscaping, inspections, snow removal, and other operations.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve occupancy rates, rent collections, and compliance with state, federal, and local housing laws.
  • Manage and maintain accurate property files and records, including lease agreements, rent rolls, and financial statements.
  • Supervise and train staff, including on-site maintenance personnel, to ensure that they are equipped to provide excellent service to residents and tenants.
  • Collaborate with corporate support staff to ensure that all management company procedures are followed and that information is distributed accurately.
Requirements
  • 2-5 years of industry experience within residential real estate, or an equivalent number of years of education and real estate management experience.
  • CRM, CAM, COS, or other related professional certification preferred.
  • Proven track record of success in overseeing a portfolio of 100+ residential units strongly preferred.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with community tenants, vendors, and across corporate divisions.
  • Knowledge of Real Page or other related Property Management software (Yardi, Lead2Lease, OneSite Accounting, etc.) strongly preferred.
  • Lease-up experience, strongly preferred.
  • As applicable, must possess a valid driver's license, reliable vehicle with insurance, and a safe DMV driving record.
