Land Development Project Manager

AKS Engineering & Forestry is seeking a full-time Civil Engineer (Land Development) for our The Dalles, Oregon office. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with our principals and multidisciplinary task leads on a mix of projects throughout the region.
About the RoleThis opening is ideal for a registered professional engineer who can take the lead on design of private land development projects and independently manage projects. Responsibilities- Lead site development projects with our collaborative, multi-disciplinary team, responsible for residential, industrial, commercial, education, and recreational projects.
- Perform site and infrastructure design per county/city standards and maintain proactive communication with technical staff to minimize future changes or misunderstandings.
- Develop and manage project scope, budget, and schedule, providing technical leadership for project design teams.
- Coordinate with in-house disciplines and outside subconsultants, ensuring successful project delivery.
- Provide QA/QC review of deliverables and assist in mentoring engineering staff.
- Develop plans, specifications, and reports, stamping final deliverables.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities, network with clients, agency personnel, and colleagues to build/maintain professional relationships.
- A minimum of 4 years of experience in civil engineering design related to land development.
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or equivalent degree required.
- Oregon or Washington Professional Engineer (PE) civil license or ability to obtain a license in the near future required.
- Strong written and oral communication skills, including proposal and report writing.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and detail-oriented, with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Salary and BenefitsWe offer a competitive salary range of $90,000 - $120,000 annually, depending on experience, plus an excellent benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, immediately vested 401(k) matching, and additional perks.
