Logistics Manager

Maintain accurate inventory through monitoring of daily warehouse and production activities, cycle counts and audits. Position is responsible for ensuring accurate accounting of all inbound raw material and outbound finished product.
Key Responsibilities:
- Train and monitor performance of warehouse and inventory control employees.
- Provide clear performance expectations and accountability to meet on time delivery and receiving requirements.
- Establish and deliver department metrics.
- Ensure Transportation and Warehousing staff understands performance standards.
- Implement HFS corporate programs and best practices.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Knowledge of:
- Hearthside procurement, products, and production processes.
- Knowledge and experience with SAP.
Skills:
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Strong self-confidence, strong will to drive change, excellent problem-solving skills and autonomy.
- Accurate, detail-oriented, and maintain confidentiality.
Ability to:
- Communicate in English to give and acknowledge instructions/problems.
- Work in excess of 40 hours per week.
- Effectively present information to employees, top management, public groups, and/or board of directors.
- Calculate figures.
- Add, subtract, multiply, and divide in various units of measure.
- Apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
- Define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Write routine reports and correspondence.
- Solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
- Interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, and/or schedule form.
Proficiency in:
MS Office Suite and SAP
Work Environment:
- Work well with others in stressful situations and meet deadlines as necessary.
- Handle multiple priorities and tasks.
- Excellent keyboarding, recordkeeping, and follow-up skills.
- Work in a fast-paced environment, making sound decisions.
Physical Requirements:
- Reach with hands/arms throughout the day.
- Use hands and fingers.
- See, hear, and talk.
- Sit approximately 50% of the day.
- Stand, walk, climb, and/or balance approximately 50% of the day.
- Work in light to moderate noise levels.
- Walk up to 400 yards to work and break areas.
- Climb steps to and from work and break areas.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business or equivalent in education, certifications, and experience.
- 7+ years supervisory experience leading a logistics department accountable for shipping, receiving, and inventory management in the Food Industry or manufacturing environment.
- Green Belt or Black Belt certification a plus.
