Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Industrial Design Specialist to join our team at Komline-Sanderson. This is an exciting opportunity for a talented individual to contribute to the transition of our legacy product portfolio to 3D designs while identifying potential product and process improvements.

Estimated Salary: $85,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience.

Komline-Sanderson is an industry-leading producer of highly engineered industrial equipment with operations across ten locations in the US. Our energy-efficient machines are used worldwide to convert waste to energy, reduce pollution, control stormwater, and mitigate environmental impact.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design ongoing work in dryers, dewatering systems, filter presses, filters, and process filtration equipment and rotating machinery.
  • Develop engineered solutions for customer projects.
  • Pursue cost reduction initiatives by collaborating with manufacturing, marketing, and engineering teams.
  • Implement best practices for 3D drafting and design standards.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in mechanical design, including knowledge of power transmission systems, machine components, piping, structural materials, and materials selection.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Autodesk Inventor (or SolidWorks), and Vault software.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, fabrication, machining, and welding techniques.
  • Experience with streamlining engineering processes and implementing product and process improvements.
  • A self-starter with excellent communication and teamwork skills.
