Job Summary

Mauser Packaging Solutions is seeking a skilled Packaging Inspector to join our team. As a Packaging Inspector, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and conformity of products to standards. This includes reading packaging documents, observing machine operations, and removing finished packaged items from the machine. You will also be responsible for stopping or resetting machines when malfunctions occur, clearing machine jams, and reporting malfunctions to a supervisor. Additionally, you will be responsible for inspecting and removing defective products and packaging material, cleaning and removing damaged or otherwise inferior materials, and monitoring the production line for problems such as hazards, pile-ups, and product jams.

Key Responsibilities

- Read packaging documents to determine product specifications.
- Observe machine operations to ensure quality and conformity of products to standards.
- Remove finished packaged items from the machine and separate rejected items.
- Stop or reset machines when malfunctions occur, clear machine jams, and report malfunctions to a supervisor.
- Inspect and remove defective products and packaging material.
- Clean and remove damaged or otherwise inferior materials to prepare raw products for processing.
- Monitor the production line, watching for problems such as hazards, pile-ups, and product jams.
- Record operational data such as finished and rejected packaged items.

Requirements

- Ability to tell when something is wrong or is likely to go wrong.
- Ability to see details at close range.
- Ability to match or detect differences between colors.
- Ability to make precisely coordinated movement of both arms, hands, and fingers.
- Ability to quickly and repeatedly bend, stretch, twist, or reach out with your body, arms, and/or legs.
- Ability to make fast, simple, repeated movement of the fingers, hands, and wrists.
- Oral Comprehension.
- Written Comprehension.
- Ability to identify or detect differences among product.
- Ability to quickly and accurately compare similarities and differences among product.
