We have an estimated salary range of $85,000 - $110,000 per year for this Registered Nurse RN Behavioral Health PRN position at Corpus Christi Medical Center in Corpus Christi, Texas. The salary may vary based on qualifications and experience.

Job Description

This Behavioral Health Nurse Specialist PRN opportunity involves coordinating and delivering high-quality patient-centered care in accordance with the nature and specific requirements of the department. In collaboration with medical providers and other members of the care team, the RN provides individualized, comprehensive, and compassionate care using established nursing models such as Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage.

The successful candidate will demonstrate clinical knowledge and application of the nursing process to provide evidence-based patient care, consistent with ANA Scope and Standards of Practice for Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing. They will utilize knowledge of growth and development, psychopathology, and psychosocial systems to plan and implement age-appropriate and culturally-sensitive care interventions.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • 2-year applicable experience required.
  • Registered Nurse.
  • Bachelors Degree, or Associate Degree.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support, or CPR, or CPR for Healthcare Providers must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
  • Nonviolent Crisis Intervention, or Satori Alternatives Management Agency, must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
