The Dishwasher and Sanitation Specialist washes and sanitizes all tableware, serving materials, cooking equipment, and small wares. This part-time position requires flexibility, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

This role will pay an hourly wage of $15 to $19.

Benefits for part-time employees include a 401(k) savings plan and 401(k) matching.

OVG provides part-time, seasonal, and internship employees with one hour of accrued paid leave per 30 hours worked, up to 48 hours per year.

As a member of our team, you will be responsible for:

  • Cleans and sanitizes all food service areas and equipment.
  • Scrapes and rinses food from dirty dishes and washes them by hand or places them in racks or on conveyor to the dishwashing machine, depending on assigned equipment.
  • Ensures complete cleanliness and sanitation.
  • Stocks plates, glasses, pots, utensils, and pans after cleaning.
  • Maintains temperatures and chemical levels as outlined by provided standards.
  • Sweeps and mops kitchen floors to ensure compliance with safety and sanitation standards.
  • Washes worktables, walls, refrigerators, and other food prep surfaces.
  • Removes all trash and maintains loading and receiving areas in safe and clean condition.
  • Transfers supplies and equipment between storage and work areas.
  • Helps load and unload supplies and product.

Experience working in a restaurant or events environment is preferred.

Ability to communicate with employees, co-workers, management staff, and guests in a clear, business-like, and respectful manner, which focuses on generating a positive, enthusiastic, and cooperative work environment.

Possess a valid food handling certificate and alcohol service permit if required by state or federal regulations.
