Salary and Benefits

This role offers a competitive salary of $62,000 - $75,000 per year, depending on experience, plus excellent benefits including 401(k), paid time off, and paid holidays.

Job Description

The Telecommunications Field Quality Assurance Specialist inspects and evaluates aerial and underground facilities to ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

This involves inspecting outside plant facilities based on applicable schedules, understanding state and NESC standards and regulations, and identifying high-risk geographic regions and driving factors.

The successful candidate will also be responsible for assigning infractions with relevant severity levels, entering information into databases, reviewing make-ready work with contractors, issuing work to construction contractors and locate vendors, and coordinating service drop conversions.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be considered for this role, applicants should possess:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent, with one or more years of experience in related fields such as OSP construction or field operations.
  • A valid driver's license and ability to walk in uneven areas for extended periods.
  • Excellent communication and computer skills, with proficiency in Microsoft applications and other software related to construction services.

Preferred qualifications include two to three years of general knowledge of aerial and underground telecommunications facilities construction, basic HFC/fiber design knowledge, and knowledge of construction standards and applicable codes.

Work Environment and Physical Demands

The Telecommunications Field Quality Assurance Specialist will work in various settings, including offices and outdoor environments, with minimal to high noise levels.

They must be able to sit for extended periods, lift up to 20 pounds occasionally, and effectively communicate with colleagues, management, and other stakeholders.
