Remote Inpatient Coder Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Inpatient Coder to join our team at TEKsystems. As a Remote Inpatient Coder, you will be responsible for accurately coding hospital inpatient accounts using ICD-10-CM/PCS coding systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Code hospital inpatient accounts with precision and accuracy.
  • Decipher operative reports and medical documentation to select codes and maximize charge capture.
  • Ensure coding compliance with established standards and guidelines.
  • Evaluate documentation issues in consultation with medical and clinical staff.
  • Utilize coding references, software tools, and electronic health records for efficient coding practices.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of inpatient coding experience.
  • Formal ICD-10-CM and CTP training.
  • 3+ years of experience with Trauma 1 & 2.
  • Experience with EPIC, Athena, or 3M is preferred.
  • Certification as a Certified Professional Coder (CPC), Certified Inpatient Coder (CIC), or Certified Coding Specialist (CCS).
