About the Job

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing plant and control models for emerging vehicle variants such as battery electric, series and parallel hybrid, and fuel cell vehicles. This includes integrating models into advanced SIL simulations, correlating operation with prototype hardware, analyzing operation of the full vehicle system in simulation, and working closely with a team to increase simulation efficiency by employing software automation.

The candidate will develop electrical and mechanical plant and control models of vehicle subsystem components in various levels of fidelity. They will tune/optimize/modify powertrain and chassis related plant models to achieve the required level of plant model behavior. The candidate will also integrate and configure models, interfaces, and simulation tools to create complete vehicle SIL simulations while adhering to interface standards.

The ideal candidate will have experience utilizing models to develop and verify mixed hardware & embedded software systems. They should have a strong background in programming (C, C++, Python) and proficiency in Matlab / Simulink / Stateflow. Experience in automotive mechatronic simulation, version control, and automation is preferred.

The candidate should possess excellent written and oral communication skills, as well as strong technical analysis skills and the ability to create new solutions. Initiative, resilience, a strong work ethic, and a desire for continuous learning are essential qualities for this role.
