We offer a competitive salary range of $83,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience.

Job Summary

The Perinatal Nurse Specialist - Labor and Delivery plays a critical role in providing exceptional care to mothers and newborns during this life-changing period. As a Registered Nurse with advanced skills and knowledge, you will be responsible for administering direct and indirect patient care within Post-partum/GYN, Nursery, Labor and Delivery, and C-Section operating room.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administering medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
  • Monitoring fetal heart rates and maternal vital signs
  • Assisting with deliveries and post-delivery care
  • Maintaining accurate records and reporting any concerns or issues
  • Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care transitions

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you must possess:

  • A current licensure by the Alabama State Board of Nursing
  • Graduation from an accredited school of nursing program
  • Completion of NRP, ACLS, BLS, fetal scalp electrode, IUPC, and neonatal IV therapy certification
