Job Opportunity: CNC MachinistJob Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced CNC Machinist to join our team at Express Employment Professionals.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 7 years of experience in CNC machining, with a strong background in setting up and operating vertical machining centers and turning centers.

The successful candidate will be able to read and understand CNC programs, layouts, and blueprints, and will have the ability to produce high-quality machined parts with precision and accuracy.

The CNC Machinist will be responsible for:

  • Programming, setting up, editing, and operating a CNC Lathe or CNC Mill
  • Producing first-run, prototype, and production parts
  • Inspecting machined parts for quality and accuracy
  • Maintaining quality and safety standards in the machine shop
  • Completing daily production/quality logs

Requirements:

  • Minimum 7 years of experience as a CNC Machinist
  • Ability to setup and operate vertical machining centers and turning centers
  • Ability to select and setup proper cutting tools as specified in CNC programs
  • Ability to read blueprints and perform advanced shop math
  • Ability to meet +/-0.0005" tolerances
  • Ability to read and manually edit G-Code programs
  • Ability to use inspection tools (micrometers, calipers, gauges) as needed
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screen
  • Strong verbal communication skills
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs
