Job Overview

The Medical Office Coordinator plays a vital role in supporting the delivery of primary health care services at Iredell Memorial Hospital Incorporated. This position is responsible for providing administrative and clinical assistance to healthcare professionals, ensuring seamless patient care management.

Responsibilities

This position involves assisting physicians in implementing nursing care plans, managing medical records, scheduling appointments, handling payments and billing, and maintaining accurate documentation. The coordinator will also be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized workspace, adhering to HIPAA guidelines, and ensuring confidentiality of patient information.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent required; however, relevant experience may be considered in lieu of education.
  • Clerical experience with proficiency in business software, medical office equipment, and excellent computer skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask.
  • CPR certification or willingness to complete within 30 days of hire.
Work Environment

This role requires standing, walking, pushing, pulling, bending, stooping, reaching, and sitting for extended periods. Lifting and carrying up to 30 pounds is also necessary. A full range of body motion is essential for this position.

Compensation

The estimated annual salary for this position is $42,500 - $52,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
