Pain Management Clinical Nurse Practitioner

NYU Langone Health is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Pain Management Clinical Nurse Practitioner to join our team. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide comprehensive nursing care to patients with acute and chronic pain conditions.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each patient.
  • Collaborate with attending physicians, consulting physicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Conduct thorough health histories, physical examinations, and psychosocial assessments to identify patient needs and develop effective treatment plans.
  • Prescribe medications, order laboratory and diagnostic studies, and perform other medical procedures as necessary.
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families to promote optimal pain management and overall well-being.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.

Requirements:

  • Current registration as a Professional Nurse in New York and registration as a Nurse Practitioner in New York.
  • Masters Degree in Nursing.
  • Certification as a Nurse Practitioner in a clinical area of practice.
  • Experience in pain management and a strong understanding of evidence-based practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
