Master Clinician for Behavioral Health Crisis Services

A challenging and rewarding opportunity awaits a dedicated professional in the field of behavioral health crisis services. The EmPATH Master's Level Clinician will play a vital role in providing non-hospital facility-based services, rendering short-term treatment to facilitate access to services and stabilization to prevent ED and acute psychiatric hospitalization admissions.
Job Summary:- Work as a clinical member of the multi-disciplinary team and provide direct care through crisis services, including evaluation, crisis counseling, triage, and discharge planning.
- Complete intakes and supporting documentation for possible more restrictive placements, provide phone triage, and one-on-one therapeutic interventions with individuals admitted to EmPATH.
- Working conditions consist of a 16-lounge bed unit.
- Hours of operation are 24/7.
- The role of the Master's Level Clinician is to ensure coverage is provided 24/7 despite any weather conditions or holidays that arise.
- Work in a multi-disciplinary Team approach to meet clinical needs of consumers presenting in crisis.
- Attend treatment team meetings when schedule allows and participate through clinical recommendation/interventions.
- Respond to all flags, emails, and voicemails within 1-2 business days.
- Consult with co-workers and supervisors to ensure clients receive the most appropriate care available.
- Assess for whether or not higher level of care may be needed.
- Work with client and other support systems to develop a discharge plan.
- Complete all documentation in compliance with funding/program standards.
- Experience preferred in the social work field or a behavioral health setting with extensive experience with special populations including individuals with Severe and Persistent Mental Illness, Co-Occurring Disorders, and Dual Diagnosis Disorders.
- Must have at least a Master's degree from an accredited college or university in a health-related field of counseling, psychology, social work, sociology, or a behavioral science field.
- Course work or experience in the areas of cultural diversity, human development, etiology and treatment of mental illness, alcohol and drug abuse, physical and sexual abuse, suicide, and mental retardation.
- Possession of good time management and organizational skills.

Compensation:$54,631 per year (estimated), depending on relevant experience and education.
