We are seeking a highly qualified and dedicated Reading Teacher to join our team at Southshore Charter Academy. As a Reading Teacher, you will be responsible for creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment that fosters academic excellence and personal growth in our students.

• Instruction/Education Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with our school's philosophy and goals.
  • Utilize a variety of teaching strategies to meet the diverse needs of our students.
  • Assess student progress and adjust instruction to ensure student success.
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to ensure a collaborative and supportive learning environment.
• Classroom Environment:
  • Create a positive and respectful classroom environment that promotes student engagement and motivation.
  • Establish clear expectations and rules for student behavior.
  • Use technology and other resources to enhance student learning and engagement.
• Instructional Planning:
  • Develop and implement lesson plans that align with our school's curriculum and standards.
  • Use data and assessment results to inform instruction and make data-driven decisions.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement school-wide initiatives and programs.
• School/Community Relations:
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with students, parents, and the community.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and guardians to ensure student success.
  • Participate in school-wide events and activities to promote a positive school culture.

• Bachelor's degree in Education or related field.
• Valid teaching certification.
• Minimum of one year of teaching experience.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and students.
