About You

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Construction Project Coordinator to join our team in Memphis, TN.

Job Summary

As a Construction Project Coordinator, you will assist Project Managers with various tasks, including estimating, scheduling, design meetings, buyout, permitting, shop drawing and submittal review, billing, and job site visits. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the construction industry and develop your skills in project management.

Necessary Qualifications
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0 out of 4.0
  • Enrolled in Civil/Architectural/Construction Engineering or Construction Management degree program
  • Co-op or Intern construction experience preferred
  • Excellent verbal communication skills and a strong work ethic

A Day in the Life

You will have the opportunity to work closely with Project Managers and other team members to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Estimating: describing project proposals and assigning dollar values to projects
  • Scheduling: creating working timelines for subcontractors and trades
  • Design meetings: attending meetings with owners and teams to understand design pro structural engineers, architects
  • Buyout: sending bid instructions, schedules, and drawings to subcontractors and evaluating proposals
  • Permitting: filling out permit forms, submitting forms with drawings and fees, and waiting for approval
  • Shop Drawing and Submittal Review: receiving shop drawings or submittals from subcontractors and communicating with them about material ordering and work commencement
  • Billing: managing subcontracts, change orders, pay requests, and pay applications
  • Job Site Visits: visiting job sites with Project Managers to ensure projects are running smoothly
