The Slitter Operator is responsible for ensuring the quality of the finished product by performing inspections and data collection. This role requires attention to detail and the ability to meet company demands and specifications.

Responsibilities:

• Set up equipment according to job specifications to meet quality requirements.
• Monitor and maintain a quality inventory of top and bottom knives and spacers.
• Perform quality checks prior to production and monitor print quality during production.
• Isolate and address products that do not meet company and customer standards.
• Provide quality customer samples as required.
• Work with assistants to ensure timely staging of work and efficient handling of finished rolls.
• Enter accurate information into the management information system and/or on approved forms.
• Collaborate with the Scheduling Coordinator to track and verify daily jobs completed quantities.
• Ensure product labeling meets customer specifications and requirements.

Qualifications:

• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with variable situations.
• Ability to interpret instructions and technical procedures.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a frequent basis.
• Ability to stand, move about, and use hands-on a frequent basis.
• Ability to read and understand basic numbers and measurements.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
