**Job Summary**
CSL Plasma is seeking a Medical Screener to join our team. As a Medical Screener, you will be responsible for greeting donors at the plasma collection center and conducting a series of registration procedures to qualify donors for the plasma pheresis process.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Assist qualified donors in completing the screening process, including assessing self-administered health history, answering basic medical questions, and performing health screening procedures.
- Educate new donors on the use of therapeutic products made from donated plasma and explain the screening process, health screening tests, and center policies.
- Register applicants and transfer donors based on completion of appropriate training and operational needs of the center.
- Answer telephone calls and provide information to callers.
- Conduct daily calibration of equipment and resolve calibration out-of-specification issues.
- Troubleshoot equipment failures and create incident documentation.
- Provide guidance and technical training to Reception Technicians and other staff as required.
- Alert Group Leader or Supervisor of donor flow issues.
- Ensure accurate recording of donor data in the electronic donor information management system.
- Maintain confidentiality of all personnel, donor, and center information.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
**Requirements**
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of 18 months experience in a clerical or customer service related position, preferably in a medical or health provider environment.
- Ability to understand, remember, and apply oral and/or written instructions.
- Ability to see and speak with customers and observe equipment operation.
- Occasional performance of tasks while standing and walking up to 100% of time.
- Occasional lifting and carrying up to 25 pounds.
