About the Role

We are seeking a skilled PRN Clinical Dietitian II to provide personalized nutrition care to patients at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital Center. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in enhancing patients' overall well-being and helping them manage various medical conditions.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments for patients to establish diet and food guidelines that cater to their unique needs and goals.
  • Develop and implement individualized plans for medical nutrition therapy, working closely with the Food Service team to ensure adherence to diet prescriptions.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient care, promoting optimal health outcomes and satisfaction.
  • Provide education and training to patients, families, and healthcare staff on nutrition-related topics and best practices.
Requirements
  • A Master's degree in food and nutrition from an accredited institution, with approved training from the American Dietetic Association.
  • 5-7 years of progressive clinical nutrition experience or 3-4 years of experience with CDE - Certified Diabetes Educator Certification or CNSD - Certified Nutrition Support Dietitian/Clinician certification.
  • Licensure in the District of Columbia is required or eligibility to apply for DC licensure is necessary.
