Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Public Health Veterinarian to join our Community Medicine team. As a key member of our team, you will provide high-quality veterinary care to animals in need, while also serving as a role model and educator for our staff and clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide preventive and basic care to patients, including physical examinations, diagnostics, treatment recommendations, and discharge instructions
  • Perform high-quality, high-volume spay/neuter surgical procedures, with individualized training provided by the ASPCA
  • Diagnose and treat post-surgical medical complications, and provide a safe and compassionate environment for animals in our care
  • Communicate effectively with clients, providing clear and concise information about their pets' care and treatment options
  • Collaborate with our team to develop and implement medical protocols, and participate in veterinary/medical training of CM staff and veterinary students

Requirements:

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree (or equivalent)
  • Current Florida State veterinary license
  • Fear Free Veterinary certification required within 60 days of hire
