As a Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant, you will collaborate with experienced Speech-Language Pathologists to deliver high-quality therapy services to students with speech and language disorders. Your role will involve conducting assessments, administering therapy sessions, and monitoring client progress.
Responsibilities:- Collaborate with Speech-Language Pathologists to execute treatment plans and interventions.
- Conduct assessments and evaluations to acquire pertinent information about students' speech and language capabilities.
- Administer individual or group therapy sessions to students under the guidance of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist.
- Monitor and document client progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
- Implement diverse therapeutic techniques and exercises to enhance speech production, articulation, language comprehension, and expressive language skills.
- Assist students in developing and refining social communication skills.
- Educate students and their families on strategies and techniques to enhance communication beyond therapy sessions.
- Bachelor's degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders or a related field.
- Current certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) from a recognized certifying organization.
- Previous experience working with individuals with communication disorders is preferred.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
