At St. David's South Austin Medical Center, we're seeking a skilled CT Technologist PRN to join our team of dedicated professionals. As a CT Technologist PRN, you'll have the opportunity to work with a talented group of individuals who share your passion for delivering exceptional patient care.

About the Role:

  • Perform CT and radiologic procedures in accordance with standards and best practices set forth by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology and hospital policies and procedures.
  • Optimize radiation use by applying the principles of Image Gently, Image Wisely, and the American College of Radiology.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of human anatomy, patient care and safety, positioning, radiographic sciences, radiation protection, medication safety, and specialized techniques.

Responsibilities:

  • Consistently produce high-quality CT scans of patients ranging from neonatal to geriatric age groups.
  • Follow established scanning and viewing protocols.
  • Operate CT scanners and related equipment efficiently and effectively.
  • Complete quality scans in a timely manner, prioritizing work flow to meet STAT demands while maintaining high standards.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in scanning trauma, acute, and challenging patients, adapting positioning and scanning factors when necessary.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an AMA-approved program in Radiologic Technology.
  • One year of experience performing CT procedures is preferred.
  • Certified Medical Radiologic Technologist by the Texas Medical Board.
  • Certified in Radiology by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
