Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Patient Services Specialist to join our team at Carolina Asthma and Allergy Center Master. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and administrative support in a fast-paced medical office environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage patient check-in and check-out processes, including registration, updates, and verification of vaccine reorders
  • Run daily reports to ensure accuracy and balance of monies, charges, and kept appointments
  • Count and reconcile petty cash daily
  • Monitor patient waiting areas to minimize wait times and ensure a positive patient experience
  • Communicate effectively with patients, nurses, and other staff members to ensure seamless care coordination
  • Verify insurance coverage and obtain necessary documentation
  • Create patient appointment reminders and answer questions and concerns in a professional and courteous manner
  • Perform miscellaneous projects and tasks as assigned by management
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • One year of experience in customer service or reception, preferably in a healthcare environment
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and organization services
  • Ability to use multi-line phone systems and standard office equipment
Work Environment

This position is located in a well-lighted office environment and may require occasional evening and weekend work.
