Office Nurse

At Huggins Hospital, we are seeking a skilled and dedicated Office Nurse to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with our Providers and practice team to coordinate and ensure the delivery of quality care and medical services.
Clinical Care Responsibilities:
As an Office Nurse, you will be responsible for accurately documenting patient information, preparing patients for exams, and performing various tests and procedures. You will also assist Providers with review of reports and clinical studies, and communicate test results and recommendations to patients.
Patient Access and Office Coordination:
You will schedule appointments, complete orders, and process referrals and pre-certifications as needed. You will also ensure efficient patient flow and provide timely assessment of patients presenting at the office.
Clinical Support:
As a member of our clinical team, you will provide support for all Providers and Physicians, and assist with communication to patients regarding test results and treatment plans. You will also prepare the examination room with needed supplies and equipment, and maintain a clean and organized environment.
Supply, Equipment and Medication Coordination:
You will supervise the maintenance of an inventory of supplies and equipment, and ensure that emergency equipment is checked and functional. You will also ensure that hazardous materials are stored and handled in accordance with Hospital policies.

Attendance is an essential job function; you will come to work daily, on time, and complete scheduled shifts.
- HIPAA: You will maintain patient confidentiality.

You will contribute to positive team performance and a culture of service excellence through effective communication, active listening, and respect.
Interpersonal Relationships:
You will maintain appropriate interpersonal relationships with staff, patients, and visitors at all times, and work as a team member with other departments.
Safety:
You will practice workplace safety daily.
Employee Engagement:
- You will actively participate in all hospital Service Excellence initiatives and trainings.
- You will attend and participate in a minimum of 50% department staff meetings and sign off on review of 100% department staff meeting minutes.
- You will complete all required annual education on or before the due date.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Individuals must possess these knowledge, skills, and abilities or be able to explain and demonstrate that they can perform the primary functions of the job, with or without a reasonable accommodation, using some combination of skills and abilities and possess the necessary physical requirements, with or without a reasonable accommodation, to safely perform the essential functions of the job.
- Minimal physical effort required with occasional light lifting to a maximum of 25 pounds; stooping; and pick, pinch, type, or otherwise work primarily with fingers.
- Ability to effectively manage considerable mental stress.
- Ability to express or exchange ideas by means of the spoken word.
- Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication.
- Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers and convey information in a clear, concise and accurate manner.
- Familiarity with computer and other business machines.
Qualifications:
Education:
Completion of RN or LPN program.
Experience:
One year office experience preferred.
License and Certification:
NH RN or LPN license, BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
