Job Summary

Brown University Health is seeking a highly skilled Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our team. This role will provide medical and psychiatric consultation and education services to consumers, families, caregivers, and staff members.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with designated psychiatrists to provide comprehensive symptom management services
  • Evaluate clients through multidimensional psychiatric assessments
  • Assess mental status, current functioning, and medical problems
  • Prescribe medications in accordance with state and federal law
  • Conduct emergency client assessments and refer to inpatient treatment as needed
  • Document medical records in accordance with Gateway policies and procedures
  • Oversee medication monitoring services and ensure compliance with infection control and nutrition policies
Requirements
  • Current nursing license in the State of Rhode Island or licensure in accordance with the Nurse Licensure Compact agreement
  • Masters degree in nursing and certification as a Clinical Specialist by the American Nurses Credentialing Center
  • Ability to provide own reliable transportation and maintain a valid driver's license
  • Ability to adhere to C.D.C. guidelines for disease and infection control
