As a Diagnostic Imaging Specialist, you will work under the supervision of the Radiology Director and Staff Radiologist to perform diagnostic radiology procedures utilizing advanced equipment. You will schedule and prepare patients for examinations, maintain certifications in one additional modality, and ensure high-quality imaging results.
Essential Functions- Obtain and verify physician orders
- Gather patient medical history before examination
- Prepare patients for their examinations
- Perform diagnostic procedures as ordered
- Assist radiologists during special procedures and fluoroscopy
- Maintain cleanliness of radiology equipment rooms
- Maintain adequate stock of supplies
- Produce high-quality imaging results
- Perform multiple modalities exams per department routine
- Ensure expenditures are within budgetary constraints
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information
- Participate in Customer/Guest Relations and Mandatory Education programs
- Review patient records for procedure information
- Utilize HIS and ED computer charting systems
The estimated annual salary for this position is $60,000 - $80,000, depending on experience. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.
QualificationsTo be successful in this role, you must have:
- A high school diploma with graduation from a School of Radiology Technology
- Certification/licensure by the State of Wyoming and ARRT
- Certifications required: Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Certification Policy and Certifications/Education Requirements Policy
- Experience in one additional modality: CT, MRI, Mammography, or other national certification recognized by the ARRT
You must possess:
- The ability to maintain continuing education requirements and all certifications and licenses
- The ability to communicate clearly with patients, families, physicians, and staff
- The ability to analyze and manipulate numbers, percentages, and indexes from equipment
- The ability to explain procedures to patients
- Analytical and reasoning skills with a high level of mental concentration and memory
