Job Overview

About the Role

The Critical Care Respiratory Specialist will be responsible for administering therapeutic and diagnostic respiratory care modalities and life support to patients with deficiencies or abnormalities of the cardiorespiratory system, under the supervision of the physician and by prescription. Key responsibilities include:

  • Plannning patient care using Respiratory Therapy protocol to ensure continuity of care during hospitalization and before discharge
  • Assessing patient's overall cardiopulmonary status through auscultation and inspection to determine breath sounds, heart sounds, dysrhythmias, murmurs and bruits, and blood pressure
  • Determining appropriateness of and participating in developing and recommending modifications to respiratory care plan

The successful candidate will have excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively with other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient care.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, applicants must possess a Graduate degree from AMA-approved, JRCRTE-accredited Respiratory Care Program, with two or more years of acute care respiratory care experience preferred. BLS and PALS certifications are required within 30 days of hire, while ACLS and NRP certifications are also required. A valid license as a Respiratory Care Practitioner in the State of Washington and CRT through the NBRC is essential.

We estimate that the salary for this position will be around $43,000 - $63,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
