About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team in Port St. Joe, Florida and the surrounding areas. As a School Speech-Language Pathologist, you will play a vital role in helping students develop the skills they need to express themselves and excel academically.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct Comprehensive Assessments: Conduct thorough assessments to identify students' speech and language needs, and develop personalized therapy plans to address these needs.
  • Collaborate with Multidisciplinary Teams: Collaborate closely with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to design and implement therapy plans that meet the unique needs of each student.
  • Provide Direct Therapy Services: Provide direct speech therapy services to students, targeting speech articulation, language development, and communication skills.
  • Develop Engaging Activities: Develop engaging and innovative activities that align with educational objectives and student growth, and provide opportunities for students to practice and apply their new skills.
  • Maintain Accurate Records: Maintain accurate records of student progress, and communicate effectively with team members and families to ensure that students receive the support they need.
Qualifications
  • Valid State License/Certification: Hold a valid Florida state license/certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
  • Master's Degree: Possess a Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or a related field.
  • Experience in School-Based Therapy: Have experience in school-based or pediatric speech therapy, and be proficient in conducting assessments and creating effective therapy interventions.
  • Strong Communication Skills: Possess strong communication skills for successful collaboration with diverse stakeholders, including educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams.
