We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team at Southgate Surgery Center. As a Pre-Operative Registered Nurse, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth and safe transition of patients from admission to surgery.
Key Responsibilities:- Assess and prepare patients for surgery, ensuring all necessary information and documentation is complete.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each patient.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless communication and coordination of care.
- Administer medications and IV solutions as ordered by the physician.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and report any changes or concerns to the physician.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families throughout the pre-operative process.
- Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program required.
- Bachelor's of Science Degree in Nursing preferred.
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) License required.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) required.
- Adult Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a pre-operative or surgical setting.
